Mahdis Aliasgari_bw_web

Mahdis Aliasgari started studying architecture in Tehran, Iran and gained her Bachelor and Master at the Azad University in Tehran. She continued her studies on lighting design and graduated from KTH with a Master in lighting design in 2013. She has been gaining experience in several practical workshops at KTH. She has been working as Research and Architectural assistants in Tehran and since graduating from KTH is a Junior Researcher at The interactive Institute of Sweden in Stockholm, where she explores participatory design methods and social innovation.
She speaks English, Persian and Swedish.

Illuminating the non-place
By introducing the concept of “Non-placemaking” I will explore how and to what extent interactive lighting design can affect the quality of space in places of transit (specifically for bus-stops).
