Jorge Calderón is a Mexican architect that graduated from UNAM. Jorge followed his conviction to keep on increasing his knowledge for better architecture and because he believes in the importance of light, he decided to study lighting design at UNAM. He is highly interested in the best application, integration and configuration for all the elements and materials which are going to be part into architectural lighting design solutions. In order to this, he believes to pursue a balanced design between technology, aesthetic, functionality, cost and of course the environment.

Light through the skin
The light as a biological part of our lives, is also an inherent part of architecture. The first contact between the architecture and daylight is the surface which involve buildings, so is there where we have to control and could take the benefits from the sources delivered by the sun. This work is looking to show the balance between human, light, environment and design factors so as to create building envelopes based on biological concepts.
