The Iranian Lighting Design Convention, ILDC 2014 is the second edition of an educational event dedicated to lighting design, and will take place from 19. to 21. November, 2014 in Tehran.

The convention with more than 1,200 attendees comprises lectures, a manufacturers’ exhibition, a light festival, a lighting competition, a lighting design contest and a Gala Dinner at which the winners of the design competitions will be announced.

The professional conference offers lectures from various fields of lighting such as lighting master plans, public lighting, interior lighting, daylighting, marketing with light, and many more. These topics offer further and continuing education on lighting design and serve as a communication platform between international guests and national experts.

Iran is one of the biggest markets for lighting in the Middle East and the convention will attract many attendees from neighbouring countries.

It is home to one of the world’s oldest civilizations and also one of the richest artistic traditions in world history. Persians were among the first to use mathematics, geometry, and astronomy in architecture. Tehran is a cosmopolitan city and the centre of cultural, economic, political and social activities.

VIA will be supporting the organisers on site with organisational details.
