In recent years, research has been taken further than ever before in the field of lighting in hospital and healthcare facilities, museums and art galleries, and schools and other educational institutions.
However, design practices have until now limited access to and knowledge of the research findings and how this can benefit and impact their lighting design. And the clients need even more guidance.
Together with researchers and lighting designers with expertise in these fields, VIA Events have developed a series of practical interior workshops to spread the word on these topics further and provide practising lighting designers and decision-makers in the field with the opportunity to go deeper into the repercussions of recognised research results.
VIA Events is specialised in educational events in the lighting field. VIA has been organising international lighting design workshops since 1999. To date VIA has organised 50 large and small-scale practical lighting workshops for clients such as the Indian Institute of Interior Architects, KSJ Events, the Professional Lighting Designers’ Association, and different university partners throughout Europe and Asia.
Practical lighting workshops are intense one-week courses in which attendees are guided through the complete design process, starting with the analysis of a project, the concept phase and then the actual implementation of the design scheme. A one-day conference provides a theoretical component.
